We have in-house servo powered, pitch control Automate Nut tapping machines with higher speed & best accuracy of threads. We have production capacity of nuts 100 Ton per month. We also take pride in the fact that we can also
do nut tapping on our parts after heat treatment. This is because we have very robust tapping machines.
Machine is designed with Double Spindle Head which gives high production rate at the same platform with single operator, single motor, single coolant pump and double the production then in single spindle.
What is Nut Tapping?
The nut tapping machine is a kind of machine for machining internal threads in nuts on the inner side of the holes with various specifications with through holes or blind holes.
We can do different type (V-thread, Square thread, Circular thread etc.) of threading –
- UN/UNF
- NPT/NPTF
- BSPP (BSP, parallel)
- BSPT (BSP, tapered)
- metric parallel
- metric tapered
We provied higer accuracy of thread as per standred requierd. We use high quality of threading Tap which we import from Italy, Germany & Japan. The each nut thread quality checkd by plug gauges for higer Customer satisfaction
.
Tapping Procedures
Good Practices
Using Tap Guides
Tap guides are an integral part in making a usable and straight tap. When using the lathe or the mill, the tap is already straight and centered. When manually aligning a tap, be careful, as a 90° tap guide is much more accurate
than the human eye.
Using Oil
When drilling and tapping, it is crucial to use oil. It keeps the bits from squealing, makes the cut smoother, cleans out the chips, and keeps the drill and stock from overheating.
Pecking
Pecking helps ensure that bits don’t overheat and break when using them to drill or tap. Peck drilling involves drilling partway through a part, then retracting it to remove chips, simultaneously allowing the piece to cool.
Rotating the handle a full turn then back a half turn is common practice. Whenever the bit or tap is backed out, remove as many chips as possible and add oil to the surface between the drill or tap and the workpiece. Hand
